- Oct 23, 2015 WeChat doesn’t save your messages on Clouds, so your message history is only available on the certain device you have been using to send and receive. If you want your message history to be seen on another device, you can only MIGRATE MESSAGE LOG.
- Sep 25, 2018 Message notifications will still appear and the total unread messages would be shown on the app icon. Explicitly quitting Messages.app (e.g. CMD + Q) will quit the app entirely- no new message notifications will show, app icon does not display unread messages. The app would update with new messages upon next launch.

Oct 18, 2019 If it's not already set up, you're asked to sign in when you first open the Messages app. Sign in with same Apple ID that you use with Messages on your iPhone and other devices. It's usually the same Apple ID that you use for iCloud, the iTunes Store, the App Store, and the account you created when you first set up your Mac.
